Do you have Distress or Ustress?

We all have stress and in the current environment, it isn’t surprising. Distress paralyzes us and we are unable to move forward and reach goals. Ustress can be quite helpful and it causes us to take action and move towards a productive means.

When I am distressed, I can choose to focus on those things I can control, not those I can’t. I can’t control the economy but I can manage my spending and where I live. I can’t stop the pandemic but I can do my part in wearing a mask and self-quarantining.

What we focus on grows. If I only focus on the negative aspects of my life, they will overrun everything else. When I focus on positive dimensions, then my life becomes brighter.

It gives me hope that things will get better. The article below offers insights into how women and men manage stress differently. Enjoy your day and stay safe!
