What would you do to protect your daughter?

Today marks the 25th anniversary of one of my favorite movies, Clueless. I was watching some highlights today and they played the scene when Cher’s father tells her date, “I have a 45 and a shovel. If something happens to my daughter, I doubt anyone would miss you.” It reminded me that when my beautiful daughter started to date, I was a single mom and I would either meet her new boyfriends at the door with a bat, golf club or a shovel with a little dirt on the end of it which I would tap on the floor and tell them, “I just buried her last boyfriend in the backyard, come on in.” Their looks were priceless and I seemed to set the mood pretty quickly. Here is a link for you to look at. Enjoy your day and be safe!
