Do you give yourself credit? Giving yourself credit is a great way to keep your self-esteem up, especially when times are tough. How can you do this? Recognize one good thing you did at the end of every day. You may even want to write it down in a journal. When you need a “boost”, look them over. We tend to be very hard on ourselves and often focus on the negative vs. the positive. Also, is we do this to ourselves, it is likely that we will do that in others, specifically our significant others. Do this often enough and long enough and you can develop a rift in your relationship. When you focus on your successes and build on them, the sky is the limit. Be kind to yourself and stop the negative self-talk. There can be enough negative energy coming our way as it is. Learning how to find the good within yourself will empower you. You can’t always rely on others to lift you up. You will need to know how to look within.
